Two students arrested in connection to home invasion

Two N.C. Central University students were arrested for their suspected roll in a home invasion on Oct. 10, Durham Police Department announced on Friday.

Demarcus Justin Cooley, 18,  and Ja’Maury Coe , 19, were charged with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, along with four counts of kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery and first-degree burglary.

There were allegedly four kidnapping victims. The crime took place off campus on the 2300 block of Fitzgerald St., according to Durham Police Department.

The search warrant and subsequent arrests occurred on Oct. 18.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Campus Echo will provide updates when the Durham Police Department  makes more information available.
